Our Mission

We have been on the search for a place to eat that not only offers good food but also an upbeat and comfortable atmosphere. That is why we came up with the idea for Hotto.

We have spent a considerable amount of time perfecting every portion of our restaurant. Our executive Chef Daniel has curated a delectable menu that is sure to thrill your taste buds. But don’t just take our word for it, come and see for yourself.

Our Philosophy

Simple yet intricate. Here at Hotto, we believe food shouldn’t intimidate.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy around food, we prioritize intentionality. From the way our food is arranged on the plate to the music, we want to create a friendly environment. Influenced by our Ethiopian roots of gathering around food, we offer smaller portions so you can share with your loved ones and try as many dishes as possible. Our goal is to provide an elevated dining experience.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Addis. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Addis.

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some asian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

We came to Hotto with two guests that were widely traveled foodie guys who are adept with the nuances of Japanese cuisine. They had a great time and were giving me a raving appreciation of the food, restaurant and service. Way to go!! We will spread the word.
